We collaborated with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) to analyze electric vehicle adoption across the United States. Using state-level data covering 50 states and Washington, D.C., from 2016 to 2022, our contribution combines logistic diffusion models, exponential growth models, and panel regressions to compare adoption trajectories and identify market drivers. The analysis finds widely varying diffusion speeds across states and a significant association between charging infrastructure and EV registrations, highlighting the need for state-specific policies as the U.S. market matures.
